G Suite Roundup (Jan 7, 2020): Key Updates

Here is what’s new in G Suite this week:

1. Updated Room & Resource Reservations in Google Calendar

• What changed: When creating an event, room and resource bookings have moved from the left side of the screen to the right-hand panel (under the “Organizer” badge).

• Why it matters: This frees up the primary Location field so you can enter specific instructions or descriptions for your attendees.

2. Enhanced Access Transparency Logs for Admins

(Enterprise & Enterprise for Education editions)

• Email Alerts: Admins can now opt-in to receive instant email notifications whenever specific Access Transparency logs are generated.

• Support Ticket Integration: Audit log reports now include associated Google Support ticket numbers for internal employee access requests.
