1/7/20 G Suite Roundup: Updates That Matter Most

After enjoying a refreshing holiday season and New Year’s, our team is back to working hard to be your Google Partner of choice. Happy New Year to all!

Now, back to business: here is the latest in G Suite news.

Alteration of room/resource reservations location in Calendar

If you book rooms or resources when inviting others in Calendar, you will be interested to know that a slight change has been made to how this feature is accessed. Previously, this feature could be found on the left side of the page under “Location”. However, now it has been moved to the right-hand side underneath the “Organizer” badge, opening up the “Location” field for you to provide a more specific description of your event’s location for your attendees.

Access Transparency logs updates for Admin console

Access Transparency logs, a feature for G Suite Enterprise and Enterprise for Education editions, allow Admins to view a record of actions taken by Google staff when they access your organization’s data. Admins can now opt to receive email alerts when certain Access Transparency logs are created, as well as view any support ticket numbers that may be associated with requests located in the Audit log (internal employee access log) report.
