G Suite has undergone some recent updates to Hangouts Meet and other collaborative Google applications. Read on to find out about the news.

Users can host more participants in Hangouts Meet

A recent update now allows enterprise users to enjoy an Increased participant limit for Hangouts Meet. Now, G Suite Enterprise users can host 250 participants,  G Suite Business users can host 150, and G Suite Basic users can host up to 100.

Live captions for Hangouts Meet for iOS

Recently, Google made Live Captions available on Android devices. Now, Apple device users can make use of this feature, which adds auto-generated captions during Meets for users on all G Suite editions.

Shortcut to creating new documents

All G Suite users can now make use of new shortcuts allowing for fast creation of new documents of numerous formats.

Below are the shortcuts to be typed into the browser’s searchbar:

  • Docs.new
  • Sheets.new
  • Slides.new
  • Forms.new
  • Cal.new (Calendars)
  • Keep.new
  • Sites.new
