In today’s Google Workspace Roundup, you’ll learn about recent updates that will improve your use of Gmail, Sheets, and more. These changes affect all license holders, including admins, so we encourage all Google Workspace for Business users to read on.
Customize your Gmail chat view
You can now customize your Gmail sidebar to make more room for your Chat and Rooms conversations, or for your Gmail labels. To do so, simply adjust the lever as shown in the image at the top.
Range name box in Sheets
A new feature has been added to improve navigation experience in Google Sheets! Located to the left of the formula bar, the range name box allows you to easily create, access, and manage named ranges in your sheet. This can help you save time when navigating to a particular section of your Sheet.

Enhanced security while sharing your screen in Meet
With more people than ever working remotely, virtual meetings have become the norm. The Google Workspace team has been striving to make the Meet experience as intuitive and secure as possible. Most recently, they have added a feature that now by default hides details about web notifications while you share your screen in Meet.

Out-of-office information now displays in Google Docs comments
Next time you tag a coworker in a Google Doc comment, if they are currently out-of-office, you will see a notification indicating when they will next be in-office. This can help you be aware of possible delays when sharing information or a task with them.
Cloud Identity Groups API update
Indirect membership visibility, as well as membership hierarchy APIs are now generally available. This feature (previously in beta) brings clarity to otherwise complex membership hierarchies in nested groups.
