- Gemini AI is Now Built-In: The best of Google AI is coming directly to your Workspace. Features like Help me write in Docs, AI-powered meeting summaries in Meet, and enhanced capabilities in Sheets will be integrated into Google Workspace Business and Enterprise plans. This eliminates the need for a separate add-on.
- The Standalone Gemini SKU is Discontinued: To simplify subscriptions, the separate Gemini for Google Workspace add-on will be discontinued. Billing for this standalone SKU will cease.
- New Pricing for All Plans: A new pricing structure will be introduced across all Google Workspace editions to reflect the added value of integrated AI and other ongoing innovations.
How Will This Affect Your Subscription?
The impact of these changes depends on your current billing plan:
- For users on a Flexible Plan: The new pricing will take effect in your first billing cycle after March 17, 2025.
- For users on an Annual/Commitment Plan: You’re all set! Your current pricing is locked in until your plan’s renewal date. The new pricing will only apply when it’s time to renew your contract.
