With seven offices worldwide, NorthStar Sourcing faced a significant challenge in their communication infrastructure. The existing setup was siloed and fragmented, with teams using different email services, hindering quick and efficient communication across the organization.

The challenge
The client needed a solution to break down communication barriers, enabling faster information sharing and seamless collaboration among their globally dispersed teams. They aimed to shift away from traditional email-centric communication, seeking a more unified platform to enhance collaboration and streamline workflows.

The approach
Leveraging our expertise in Google Workspace and understanding the unique challenges faced by international teams, we tailored a solution to address the client’s specific requirements.

Key Solutions Implemented:

1. Unified Email Service:Transitioning the entire organization to Google Workspace’s email service ensured a uniform and centralized communication channel for all employees.
2. Collaboration through Google Workspace: We facilitated seamless collaboration by integrating Google Workspace tools such as Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. This allowed team members to work on documents in real-time, eliminating version control issues and streamlining collaborative efforts.

Delta migration was executed on the same day, migrating all recent email data as well as calendar and contact data. No issues were reported during or after the migration. The HiView Change Management Lead administered a 1-hour training session for all users, preparing them to effectively use their new Google toolset. A total of four email communications were also sent to lead users through the change. In these communications, a link to a custom Support Site was shared, providing a recording of the training session, instructions for completing key tasks in Google Workspace, and other resources.

The results

• All email, OneDrive, Dropbox, contacts, and calendar data migrated for 41 users
• 2 Shared Mailboxes
• Zero downtime occured for all users
